Designer of the week- Simone Rocha

I've decided I want to talk about some new or not so known designers each week. It's always quite hard to find a Designer data base and thought this could be good to know more about these talented people from whom we can get inspiration, ideas, encouragement and information.

I'm starting with Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha is the daughter of the Hong-Kong born designer John Rocha, she completed her studies at The National College of Art & Design, in Dublin and graduated from her MA at CSM in 2010, not long ago at all! It seems all is going pretty fast for Simone since she did a mini collection for Topshop in 2011 and launched her solo collection at LFW for Summer Spring 2012.

I her collection there is quite a lot of tailoring, making it look a bit more modern by deforming the shapes; and a lot of see through fabrics, nice textures, and a bit of Alexander Wang maybe, probably with some more femininity. You can tell she has progressed from her first collection, and the SS 2013 collection is beautiful!
